JoyScribe is a software bundled with foot pedal that helps the transcriptionists to play audio files of various formats played with Windows Media Player.

Book marking is provided so that the user can reach the marked position by the press of a key. F11 and F12 keys are used to mark and getting to marked positions. These keys work even if you are in a word processor. (If your word processor has some functions for these keys, you must disable them)

Play position is indicated by moving bar as well as in figures. Play position can be changed by dragging the moving bar.

Play options can be changed to user’s liking as follows:

Plays when play button is kept pressed and pauses when the button is released.

Play and pause actions are toggled for each press of the play button.
|
|
When the option 2 is selected there are 3 sub options available. They are:

Play always after rewind or forward.
|
|
Pause always after rewind or forward.
|
|
Continue the action (Play or Pause) after rewind or forward.
|
|
|
|
|
Play after pause can be set to start from a specified time backwards to enable the user to catch the lost words.
|
|
|
Forward or rewind speeds can be varied.
|
|
|
All settings are remembered until the user makes changes again.
|
|
|
It acts as a top-level window and is visible always.
|
|
|
Can be minimized to a simplest form to gain space.
